Tuition and Withdrawal Policy
Acton Academy East Bay requires the reservation payment of $2500 in nonrefundable prepaid tuition with each enrollment. Acton Academy East Bay has two tuition payment plans, referred to as the “PAID IN FULL” and “ELEVEN MONTH” plans. The PAID IN FULL plan offers discounted tuition for pre-payment. The PAID IN FULL plan requires a single payment on or before June 1 of that school year. The ELEVEN MONTH plan requires ELEVEN payments, each on the first day of the month beginning on AUGUST 1, and ending on JUNE 1.​

Parents are obligated to make all tuition payments in by the due dates as defined by the tuition schedule, including in the case of the student’s absence from school regardless of the timing, reason, or duration of such absence. All tuition payments are nonrefundable except as described in the withdrawal and termination policy below. Parents who choose the ELEVEN month plan are required to authorize Acton Academy East Bay to receive automatic payments from their checking account. The nonrefundable prepaid deposit of $2500 is considered part of tuition.

We may require proof of Tuition Insurance under special circumstances.
Prorated Tuition

Acton Academy East Bay offers prorated tuition if you start in the middle of the school year. The rate is calculated based upon a modified percentage of days remaining and the session start date. The deposit is not prorated.

Sibling Discount
​
Acton Academy East Bay offers sibling discounts for families with more than one child enrolled at Acton Academy East Bay concurrently. Tuition for the first sibling will be at the regular rate, tuition for the second sibling and subsequent child(ren) will be discounted by five percent. The sibling discount will be calculated based on the selected tuition payment plan. To be eligible for the discount, siblings must attend for the same period of time, parents must make all tuition payments on time and students must complete the school year at Acton Academy East Bay.

Scholarships or Financial Aid exlusion
Families who receive scholarships or financial aid is not eligble for any discounts.

Withdrawal and Termination Policy
​
In the case of the student’s withdrawal or termination regardless of the timing or reason, the parent is responsible for all tuition payments that are due for the entire school year. Under all plans, no refunds will be granted for period(s) of absence from school regardless of the timing, reason, or duration of such period(s) of absence unless otherwise required by applicable law. Tuition is not refundable in the event of earthquake, flood or other acts of God or circumstances beyond the control of Acton Academy East Bay.

If written notice is provided before May 30, Acton Academy East Bay will not charge the 2nd (usually June 1st) deposit installment for the TEN MONTH payment plan. The 1st deposit installment will not be refunded.

If notification is provided after June 30, but before school starts, the deposit will be forfeited and two of the TEN payments will be due upon receiving written notification of withdrawal.
Acton Academy East Bay reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrollment at any time for any violation of the Strike Rules by the student or the student’s parent(s) of Acton Academy East Bay’s policies and procedures. Reasons for termination shall include, but not be limited to: a) failure to make scheduled tuition payments by the due dates; b) failure exercise sufficient hygiene c) parental behavior that is uncooperative with Acton Academy East Bay policies and procedures; d) severe or persistent student misbehavior; and e) poor studio effort or attitude. Acton Academy East Bay may terminate a student’s enrollment if Acton Academy East Bay, in its sole discretion, determines that a student’s enrollment is not in the best interest of Acton Academy East Bay and/or the student. The refund policy for termination of enrollment is the same as for withdrawal of enrollment.

Policies for Late Payments, Late Enrollments, and Changes to Payment Plans

Payments not received on or prior to the due date will result in a late fee of 1.5% of the amount due plus, if the payment is not received within 30 days of the due date, an additional per day charge of 0.05% of the amount due assessed from 30 days after the due date until the day payment is received. Acton Academy East Bay will assess a $25.00 charge for all returned checks and rejected automatic payments. Students who are enrolled prior to the beginning of the school year but who delay their start until after the school year has begun are still responsible for the full school year of tuition and tuition will not be prorated. Tuition, for students who enroll after the first day of the school year, will be prorated based on the number of school days remaining in the school year. Parents will receive a written notice at least 30 days in advance of any change in tuition rates.

No Guarantee of Future Enrollment

Acton Academy East Bay does not ensure future enrollment and the school reserves the right, in the sole discretion of the administration, to decline enrollment to any Eagle for any academic year. Acton Academy East Bay is not obligated to provide early or any specific type of notification of its intent not to enroll Eagle for the upcoming school year, or any successive school year, and it is expressly agreed that declining to enroll Student shall neither be a breach of this Agreement nor any other obligation on the part of School.
